Mumble Beach

Words and Music by Bruce Kula

Where I live there is no condo canyon
There's no neon restaurant chain
There is no well-known ancient banyan
No multicolored tour train

So if you ask exactly where I live
I'm cautious what directions I give

I say I live on Mumble Beach
A couple clicks from Murmur Street
A little south of Unintelligible
And north of Talking with My Mouth Full
And if you ask me kindly to repeat
I'll tell you come on down to Mumble Beach

Where I live there is no clown museum
There's no fenced-in wildlife park
There is no famous chocolate Coliseum
No dock where cruisers disembark

If you haven't found it that's okay
I'd like it if it stayed that way

I say I live on Mumble Beach
A couple clicks from Murmur Street
I keep it all so garbled
You'd think I'm chewing on marbles
And if you ask me kindly to repeat
I'll tell you come on down to Mumble Beach

I've got sun and sand and sea
And that's almost all I need
I'd like to strike a balance between being alone
And meeting half the people of Ontario

I say I live on Mumble Beach
A couple clicks from Murmur Street
A little south of Unintelligible
And north of Talking with My Mouth Full
And if you ask me kindly to repeat
I'll tell you come on down to Mumble Beach
